Wet snow, and slush cause concerns on area highways Sunday morning (Oct 25)

Drivers on major arteries around the Merritt region are asked to be careful on the highways this morning.

Snow fall overnight has prompted Drive BC to warn motorists of slippery and slushy sections today including:

• Highway 5 and 5A (old Kamloops Road)
• Highway 5 headed towards Hope
• Highway 8, between Dot Ranch Cut-Off Road West and Junction Highway 5 (Merritt)
• Highway 97C, between Merritt and Ashcroft
• Highway 97 C (the Connector) to Kelowna

Drivers are encouraged to check Drive BC before they head out onto the highways today.
