Police officials said the structure fire was reported on July 5, 2026 in the 400-block of Morgan Avenue in Lower Nicola.
Investigators on the scene found evidence pointing to suspicious activity surrounding the fire and resulting property damage.
Merritt RCMP officials said police have conducted an investigation into the circumstances of the fire and are reaching out to the public for any information that may be outstanding.
Obviously, we recognize a substantial length of time has passed since the beginning of July. However, firstly, the police have a responsibility to conduct as thorough of an investigation as possible, and secondly, we’re putting this out there if anyone has video footage or information that we do not already have” said Cst.
