Storm coming to NVMA in pre-season BCHC action

The Kamloops Storm rolls into Merritt tonight in BCHC action at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena to face the hometown Centennials at 6:00 p.m. tonight

This marks the Centennials second pre-season game of 2026, after a 3-2 loss last Friday (Aug.28) against Revelstoke.

The Centennials line-up will also get a boost in the coming weeks as veterans Marcus Hughes, Tyler Smith, Kaiden Wilkins, Callum MacLean and Travis Langlois will all be returning to the Centennials. They join returning veterans Wyatt Cull, Reed Belcourt and Evan Thachuk who give new head coach Henry Acres, a mix of grit and experience in his line-up.

Again tonight’s game is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.

Meanwhile the Centennials announce they still have openings for their annual Golf Tournament at the Merritt Golf Course on Saturday Sept. 12.  The event is a best ball, scramble with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. and features a barbeque rib dinner and an auction.
