Cents drop pre-season opener at NVMA

The Merritt Centennials kicked off its British Columbia Hockey Conference (BCHC) pre-season on Friday night with a hard fought 3-2 loss to the Revelstoke Grizzlies at the Nicola valley Memorial Arena.

Sawyer Latkowski’s third period goal held up as the winner despite the Grizzlies being outshot 31-22.

Zander Zorn and Kaden Wilkens scored for the Cents who were to travel to Revellstoke for a return match against the Grizz howver the game was cancelled because of an vehicle accident on the highway.

A make up contest is to be announced.

The Cents are back in action on Friday night, Sept. 4th when the Kamloops Storm come to town for a 7 p.m. contest at the NVMA.
