TNRD Issues Changes to Evacuation Alerts and Orders in Region

Thanks to cooler temperatures and much needed precipitation in recent days, the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has reclassified several alerts and orders pertaining to the Ainslie Creek wildfire and the Nicola Valley region.
First the Evacuation Alert issue due to the Ainslie Creek Wildfire has been downgraded to All Clear, effective today. This All Clear notice affects approximately 620 addressed properties in Electoral Area “M” (Beautiful Nicola Valley) and “N” (Beautiful Nicola Valley-South), as outlined on the attached map.
Meanwhile the Evacuation Order for 61 addressed properties in the Coldwater Road/Patchett Road region has been downgraded to Evacuation Alert.
The Evacuation Order remains in place for approximately 58 addressed properties in Electoral Area “N” (Beautiful Nicola Valley-South).
Areas remaining on Evacuation Order are as follows:
- 240 to 280 Busby Rd;
- 2060 to 2140 Suttie Rd;
- 233 to 333 Gillis Rd;
- 1020 to 3505 Coldwater Rd S;
- 964 to 1627 Covert Pl;
- 1409 to 1485 Boston Bar Trail;
- 921, 990, 2105, 2700 and 2725 Patchett Rd;
- 2141 to 2581 Peterson Rd; and
- Any other properties as outlined on the attached map.
The TNRD Notes that should conditions change, the Evacuation Alerts and/ or an Evacuation Orders will be reinstated.
