Emergency Room at Nicola Valley Hospital closed Sunday July 19

The Nicola Valley Hospital’s Emergency Room will be closed today until 7 p.m. this evening.

This marks the second closure of the Emergency Department at the hospital in four days, and fifth closure since June 18.

It is also the second consecutive closure that a closure notification was not circulated on the VoyentAlert! System.

Interior Health advises that patients can access emergency care at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during this time.

All other inpatient services will continue at Nicola Valley Hospital.

People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e., chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
