It may not be a great start to a long holiday weekend, after Environment Canada issued three weather warnings for highways in the region.
First, the Coquihalla between Hope to Merritt today will see falling temperatures with possible snowfall accumulations at the Coquihalla Summit.
Meanwhile the Okanagan Connector between Merritt and Kelowna are also reporting snowfall accumulation near the Pennask Summit today as well as the Highway 3 near the Allison Pass may also see tricky driving conditions with snowfall.
The weather warnings appear to be in place for much of the first long holiday weekend of summer 2026.
