Fairy tales and dance to take over Civic Centre

The endless tale of story and dance will come alive this weekend in Merritt.

Love to Dance Academy (LTD) is hosting a special fundraiser on Sunday entitled Once Upon A Time.

There will be two performances of at 11 a.m. and at 4 p.m. at the Merritt Civic Centre.

“Once Upon A Time is our spring concert and it will also serve as a fundraiser for us,” said artistic director Kia Henriksen. “The money from the fundraiser will help get us (LTD) get through the summer months when we have much going on.”

Henriksen added that a variety of genres of music and dance will be featured with performances by dancers ranging in age from three-years-of-age to 18-years-old.

“The theme behind the performance is “Fairy Tales” and we are going to weave together all of our pieces with that in mind,” noted Henriksen.
