“The Boys are back in Town” Merritt Centennials rolling with 5 wins in 6 games down the stretch
Cents Win! | Q 101.1 News
MERRITT — There are only eight games left in the regular season.
The Cents are catching fire at the perfect time too. With five wins in their last six games Merritt has been a team to be reckoned with of late as they are on their hottest streak of the season at the right time.
With wins over Prince George, Trail twice and Salmon Arm twice the Cents are looking more and more like a possible first round upset team.
The Centennials will face either Salmon or Vernon in the first round of the playoffs if they finish in 6th and will like face the West Kelowna Warriors if they finish 7th.

At this point fifth place and last place are out of reach. It’s looking like Penticton and Prince George are locked into a first round matchup.
The Cents can go 3-1 on their current homestand if they get their first win over the Vernon Vipers this friday. They have a much different roster than the team who lost the earlier season matchups, all occuring in 2023.
Merritt will then head on a five game road trip through Penticton twice, Prince George twice and Salmon Arm.

The regular season ends with home games against the Cranbrook Bucks and Prince George Spruce Kings.
Depending on how close Cranbrook and Merritt are in the standings the meaning of those games have yet to be determined.
The Centennials will make the playoffs for the first time since Joe Martin’s 2018/19 team clinched first place but were upset in five games against the Trail Smoke Eaters.
You can still catch myself, Zach Amin doing all the games on Flohockey and Q 101.1 radio.
