Missing New Westminster man found deceased after traveling to Merritt area

MERRITT — A man from New Westminster with no last name provided has been found deceased after going missing after travelling to the Merritt area.

The man known as Gerry was last seen as he was loading belongings into his vehicle.

He was known to drive to remote locations for fishing and camping, so police searched through many logging roads or in parks around the Merritt area.

There was no location provided where he was found deceased.

Gerry was last seen in New Westminster on January 30th, 2024.
