In a snowfall warning online, Environment Canada says around 15 to 20 centimetres of snow is expected to fall on the stretch of Highway 5 from overnight Friday (Dec. 1) to Saturday morning. It’s due to another frontal system that will move onshore Friday night and across B.C.’s Interior on Saturday.
The weather agency says flurries are expected to begin Friday night, become heavy overnight and ease back to flurries by midday Saturday.
Drivers are warned that rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult, and highways and roads may be challenging to navigate.
