Centennial’s Trainer Damon Pugerude hosts team get together before BCHL Showcase
"Puggzy" cooking up some Burgers for the team
Team trainer Damon Pugerude, who joined the Merritt Centennials with 19 years of experience in the field was more than excited to host the team before their showcase in Seattle. With the team on the road for most of October it was a chance for the team to have a little rest and relaxation, enjoy delicious burgers and chili and hangout on the dock. The rain didn’t damper spirits as the Centennials still posed for pictures by the Pugerude’s family dock.
The get together took place on the way to Seattle, as the team had just crossed the border successfully despite some delays with the team’s two Latvian born players.
After the team left they arrived in Seattle that night, preparing for a tough matchup against the Victoria Grizzlies.
The Cents would beat the Grizzlies 6-2 then drop an overtime loss to the Coquitlam Express as the team was able to take home 3 out of 4 points.
