All Merrittonians are invited to the Dark and Dreamy Art Show Meet and Greet

MERRITT — The Nicola Valley Arts Council will be hosting a fall get together tonight (Oct 27.) The “Dreamy Show’s Meet and Greet” will run from 5-7:30 p.m.
There will be refreshments and chatting about the moody, beautiful and dark artwork from over 30 artists. The theme is Dark, like dusk and nighttime art, or art that expresses the “darkness we feel inside” and Dreamy like dreams, real/surreal, or fantasy worlds or experiences.
Through working with pastels, acrylics, glasswork, the spoken word and more, the artists have expressed their stories to share with our community. After the Reception, the Arts Council will show the popular cult classic, from 7:30-9pm, Rocky Horror Picture Show, right in the Arts Centre, inviting all members of the local art community.
Costumes are suggested as this is a Halloween event.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show cult following is the cultural phenomenon surrounding the large fan base of enthusiastic participants of the movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show, generally credited as being the best-known cinematic “midnight movie“.
There will be dancing as well.
