Area Restriction implemented for Rossmore Lake wildfire

KAMLOOPS – The BC Wildfire Service has implemented an Area Restriction Order within the vicinity of the Rossmore Lake wildfire, located approximately 10 kilometers south of Kamloops.

This Order takes effect at 12:00 (noon) on August 17th and remains in force until the earlier of 12:00 (noon) August 31st or until the Order is rescinded.

This area restriction reflects the need to protect public and BCWS personnel safety in areas where fire suppression activities are taking place.
