MERRITT — Level Five Watering Restrictions are in place for the Nicola-Thompson region.
As drought conditions sweep the province, the Coldwater River as well as fish/wildlife are at risk.
Every resident is encouraged to save water, which means no lawn watering or garden sprinkles. Vegetable gardens and fruit trees can be hand watered with a hose with an automatic shut-off valve or by drip irrigation system.
