MERRITT – Two small wildfires broke out south of Merritt last night (Wednesday, June 28).
The BC Wildfire Service said both flames are burning well under 1 hectare, 0.009, but are still being classified as out of control.
The fires are located at Davis Lake and Alleyne Lake.
As of June 29, there are 104 active wildfires burning throughout the province, with six in the Kamloops Fire Centre.
