Merritt Centennials hire new Head Coach and Assistant General Manager

MERRITT – The Merritt Centennials have hired Brian Passmore to be the next Head Coach and Assistant General Manager.
Signing a three-year deal, the Centennials wrote in their release, he will bring “stability and direction to continue moving forward”.
Passmore brings BCHL coaching experience, spending just over three seasons as Head Coach and General Manager of the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
Last season, he was the bench boss of the Capitals for the first 17 games, going 5-11-1-0, before being let go. Throughout his time in BCHL, the Mississauga, Ontario native has coached in 149 games, putting up a 37-96-13-1 record.
“The Centennials are happy to have Brian on board and are working hard to put together a competitive team for the 2023-2024 season,” wrote the team.
