Merritt Centennial commits to a near hometown university

MERRITT – Last seasons Merritt Centennials captain, Christian Lowe, has committed to play hockey at Trinity Western University.
The Port Moody native will be playing for the Spartans, roughly 40 minutes away from his hometown.
Lowe played his lone season as a Centennial as a 20-year-old, where he spent half of the season as captain. In 50 games played, Lowe scored 13 goals and added in 19 assists for 32 points.
During his time in the BCHL, the speedy forward played for the Coquitlam Express, Cranbrook Bucks, Trail Smoke Eaters, and the Cents. In 104 total BCHL games, Lowe scored 17 goals and had 27 assists for 44 points.
