Water park sprays into action

MERRITT – Merritt residents can escape the heat this weekend with the Rotary Spray parking opening up for the season.

Starting Friday, May 19, the water park will be officially open for the summer.

The City re-opened the park temporarily last weekend (May 13) as the special weather statement settled in throughout the province.

“With the heat this weekend, the City will turn on the spray park early,” the City wrote on Facebook on Saturday, May 13. “The spray park will be open over the weekend but there is plan to close it again Tuesday/Wednesday for maintenance.”

Rotary Park is home to the water park along with various other fun activities throughout the summer, including:

• Playground
• Large fields
• Music in the Park
• Annual events
  • Canada Day
  • Easter
