Merritt hospital emergency department reopens

MERRITT – After being closed the past 24 hours, the emergency department at the Nicola Valley Hospital is reopened.

Interior Health stated the closure was due to a physician vacancy. The shutdown was from 8:00 a.m. yesterday (March 10) until 8:00 a.m. this morning (March 11).

Residents can now access the emergency department again in Merritt but residents can always call 911 in the event of an emergency.
