MERRITT – Officials are forecasting a cold spell throughout B.C. beginning tomorrow (Jan 26).
“Arctic air will invade B.C. beginning late Friday, with a major shift in temperature from our mild January,” said Environment Canada.
Environment Canada continued on, stating temperatures will be 10-20 degrees colder than normal in the Southern Interior and in the Central of B.C..
Along with the already cold temperatures forecasted, there will also be gusty winds, causing the wind chill to feel even colder.
With the wind, officials warn about potential blowing snow over the weekend.
They said the temperature is expected to rise again late next week but are uncertain on the exact timing.
