RCMP asking for public’s help in a hit and run situation

MERRITT – Merritt RCMP are asking the public for any information or possible dash cam footage from a hit and run incident involving a pedestrian.
“We are looking for the public’s assistance to identify the truck and driver,” says Cst. Nicholas Maciejewski. “It is possible the driver was unaware they struck the pedestrian and we are asking them to do the right thing and contact us.”
Officers said the 72-year-old pedestrian was hit in the parking lot outside of the Aberdeen Cold Beer and Wine Store on November 26, just after 4:00 p.m..
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for assessment with non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, the truck is described as a four door, white pick up truck.
