Planned power outage coming up in the city

MERRITT – A planned power outage is coming to Dewolf Way in Merritt next week.

BC Hydro announced of power pole replacement for the street on November 28 between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.. The start and end time of the outages are estimates as times may vary.

“This planned outages could be canceled without notice due to weather conditions or availability of crews during an emergency,” said BC Hydro.

While work is taking place, crews said they will be turning off power when necessary.

During an outage, officials advise residents to unplug electrical devices to protect them from damage.
