MERRITT – The Samaritan’s Purse held a successful Community Connect Day yesterday (October 2) at Rotary Park.
The day was filled with live music, a free BBQ for the community, and various activities like: tug-of-war, frisbee toss, sack races, and more.
Sherry Peterson, who is a recovery Specialist with Samaritan’s Purse, said the day was meant to be relaxing and give residents a break from all of their stresses, especially coming off of flood recovery efforts still.
Lots of residents enjoyed the day of fun including the Merritt Centennials who were there participating.
