Nicola Valley Aquatic Centre back open

MERRITT – The annual pool cleaning is over and the Nicola Valley Aquatic Centre is back fully open with some new features.

The City of Merritt said there has been a new rope swing installed at the pool and residents are able to enjoy it longer thanks to extended hours.

The new hours are:

• Monday-Friday
  • 6:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
• Saturday
  • 10:00 a.m.-5:00p.m.
• Sunday
  • 12:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Even though the pool is cleaned and re-opened, officials said the leisure pool is still temporarily closed until Wednesday (September 28) due to an unexpected event. During this time the main pool, whirl pool, sauna, and fitness room are still open.
