Nomination packages are available to be picked up

MERRITT – With the 2022 municipal election coming upon, nomination packages are now available to be picked up.

Residents can collect their package at City Hall or download it online until September 9.

Nomination packages can not be submitted to the City until the deadline period of August 30 at 9:00 a.m. until September 9 at 4:00 p.m..

“If you submit your nomination by email (candidates@merritt.ca) or fax (250-378-2600), you must also submit hard copies to City Hall no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, September 16, 2022,” said the City of Merritt.

The municipal election takes place on October 15, 2022,  where residents of the City of Merritt will have the opportunity to elect one Mayor and six Councillors.
