The Merritt RCMP are trying to find the owner of a ring found in the Merritt Detachment recently.
On April 21, a Merritt RCMP employee found a ring behind some furniture in the Merritt Detachment fingerprint room. The ring appears to be of significant value and officers have no timeline of how long it had been there for.
“We (Merritt RCMP) believe someone may have lost a ring while being fingerprinted at the Merritt RCMP Detachment.” says Sgt. Josh Roda. “For obvious reasons, we cannot share a description or photo of the ring. We are hopeful the owner will see this and be able to provide a description and timeline of when they may have lost it.”
If you believe you lost your ring at the Merritt Detachment, possibly while being fingerprinted, please call the Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262 and you will be put in touch with an investigator.
