No new COVID-19 deaths, hospitalizations down by 26 in B.C. Tuesday

VICTORIA — There is good news in Tuesday’s COVID-19 surveillance report from the province’s Ministry of Health — there were no new deaths from the virus.
That leaves the B.C. death toll from COVID-19 at 2,873 since the pandemic arrived in the province.
Hospitalization from the virus is down by 26 from Monday to 523. There are 83 patients in intensive care, a decrease of two from Monday.
There were 466 new positive COVID-19 tests reported, including 193 in Interior Health, the most in the province by a wide margin.
The ministry notes no new healthcare facility outbreaks were reported, leaving 28 outbreaks active in B.C., including Ponderosa Lodge and Overlander Residential Care in Kamloops.
