COVID-19 related hospitalizations down by 41 in B.C. Thursday

VICTORIA — The BC Government is reporting a decrease in hospitalizations today, with 612 people in hospital with COVID-19 as of Thursday (Feb. 24). (Down by 41 since Wednesday)
Of those, 102 individuals are in intensive care.
Additionally, in the past 24 hours, nine new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 2,840. Two of the new deaths took place within Interior Health.
There have been no new health-care facility outbreaks, for a total of 29 facilities with ongoing outbreaks.
As of Thursday, 93.2 per cent (4,320,890) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, 90.7 per cent (4,201,999) received their second dose and 55.1 per cent (2,555,669) have received a third dose.
