B.C. COVID-19 hospitalizations drop again Thursday

VICTORIA — B.C. is continuing a downward trend in hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
In a news release issued Thursday (Feb. 10), the province’s Ministry of Health says hospitalizations are down 26 to 867. There are 138 people in intensive care, down by five from Wednesday.
Five more people have died due to the virus, including two in Interior Health. The provincial COVID-19 death toll is now 2,730.
The province registered 1,318 positive tests Thursday, with the most in Interior Health at 444.
Of all British Columbians aged five and older, 90.3 per cent have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 84.9 per cent have received a second dose. Of residents aged 12 and older, 54 per cent have now received a third dose.
