MLA Tegart moved in B.C Liberal cabinet shuffle
Following the election of Kevin Falcon as the new leader of the B.C Liberal Party on Saturday, the party has announced a change up in the legislature critic roles.
MLA Shirley Bond will continue to serve as Leader of the Official Opposition until such time as Falcon can earn a seat in the legislature.
Other notable changes include Kamloops MLA Todd Stone taking over as House Leader.
Fraser-Nicola MLA Jackie Tegart is no longer serving as education critic, and will be put forward by the Liberals for the role of Assistant Deputy Speaker.
“Following a vote within our Caucus, MLA Coralee Oakes has been elected to the position of Caucus Chair. MLA Jackie Tegart is being put forward as our nominee for Assistant Deputy Speaker,” said Bond.
