The Province continues to advise owners of private drinking-water wells in flood-impacted areas to monitor their water quality.
In flood-affected areas, well water should be considered “not for for human consumption” until the well is assessed, and the water is disinfected and tested.
To help with this, the Ministry of Health, in partnership with Fraser Health and Interior Health, is making free sample kits and bacteriological testing available.
This program is available until Jan. 15, 2022, with the possibility of extension.
