Mayor Brown gives Deputy Premier Farnworth tour of Merritt

On Thursday, B.C.’s Deputy Premier and Public Safety Minister, Mike Farnworth visited Merritt to see first-hand the devastating impacts of the November 15^th flood. Mayor Linda Brown was able to take the Minister for a walking tour of some of the city’s hardest hit areas.

“I toured Deputy Premier Farnworth around some of the most devastated parts of our beautiful city. He was blown away by the devastation that was caused but was also extremely impressed by our progress and our resiliency as a community,” said Brown.

Local media was not given the opportunity to ask the Minister any questions during his stop in Merritt.
