Sun Life advisors band together to provide Christmas trees to those in need
Sun Life advisors from around the Interior of B.C., have coming together to help Merritt families in need following the devastating flood of November 15th.
The advisors donated money to buy 150 local Nicola Valley Christmas trees to distribute to those affected by flood in Merritt.
“Advisors all the way from Prince Rupert to Revelstoke, to Osoyoos. It’s money that they have donated to buy 150 Christmas trees,” said Merritt Sun Life Advisor Leslee Lucy. “The trees are going to people impacted by the floods. It might be somebody who has a damaged home, or maybe somebody who is struggling financially.”
The trees will given out at Purity Feed in Merritt on Saturday (Dec. 11), starting at 9am until they’re all gone.
The trees are real and were cut down locally in the Nicola Valley. It was noted that tree stands will not be given out.
