Merritt’s LHA records two new COVID-19 cases

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released the latest local health area (LHA) COVID-19 figures, covering the week of November 28 – December 4.

The Merritt LHA recorded two new cases of the virus, an increase from last weeks zero.

The Kamloops local health area saw a nearly 50 per cent increase in weekly COVID-19 cases. Kamloops saw 114 new COVID-19 cases, up by 39 from the previous week.

Central Okanagan saw a slight increase, while weekly cases slightly decreased in the Vernon, Shuswap, and Cariboo/Chilcotin regions.

• Kamloops – 114 (up by 39 from last week)

• Cariboo/Chilcotin – 70 (down by 14)

• North Thompson – 16 (up by five)

• 100 Mile House – 12 (up by 11)

• South Cariboo – three (unchanged)

• Lillooet – one (up by one)

• Merritt – two (up by two)

• Vernon – 29 (down by 14)

• Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 13 (up by eight)

• Enderby – four (down by 14)

• Salmon Arm – 46 (down by seven)

• Revelstoke – two (up by one)

• Central Okanagan (Kelowna) – 156 (up by 15)
