Merritt’s LHA records zero new COVID-19 cases

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released the latest COVID-19 data for the Merritt Local Health Area (LHA) covering the week of November 21-27.
The LHA recorded zero new cases of the virus, down from two cases the week prior. Cases in Merritt have been dropping during the evacauation order, howerver the LHA does also include communities like Lower Nicola, Upper Nicola, Coldwater, and a far amount of land surronding the municipalty.
For the first time since early August, the Kamloops local health area (LHA) is at an average daily rate of COVID-19 cases between 5.1 and 10. Kamloops saw 75 new COVID-19 cases.
