The BC Government and River Forecast Centre are reporting that flows along the Coldwater River peaked at 9:55 pm Sunday night with flows of 177 m^3/s.
For reference, on November 15, the river peaked between 300-600 m^3/s. Exact figures aren’t known because the gauges broke that night.
While the flows are significantly less than two weeks ago, the city’s infrastructure is not in a position to handle as much water as usual.
Phase three and four remain on evacuation order, and day passes into phase three have been suspended for the time being.
Another atmospheric river system is forecast to hit British Columbia on Tuesday and Wednesday.
