Merritt’s LHA records two new COVID-19 cases

It’s important to note that the Merritt Local Health Area (LHA), includes more than just the municipality. The LHA includes four of the local first nation bands, and large portions of land in every direction around Merritt.
The BC Centre for Disease Control released their latest COVID-19 data on Wednesday, reporting two new cases of the virus in the Merritt LHA. The data covers the week of November 14-20.
The Kamloops area saw a substantial decrease in COVID-19 cases last week with 92 cases for the week, a decrease of 40 from the previous week. However, it is still an average daily rate between 10.1 to 15 per 100,000 population.
- Kamloops – 92 (down by 40 from last week)
- Cariboo/Chilcotin – 66 (up by eight)
- North Thompson – 26 (up by 13)
- 100 Mile House – five (up by one)
- South Cariboo – one (up by one)
- Lillooet – zero (down by two)
- Merritt – two (down by three)
- Vernon – 44 (down by 31)
- Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 20 (up by 10)
- Enderby – 20 (down by 15)
- Salmon Arm – 37 (down by four)
- Revelstoke – zero (down by two)
- Central Okanagan (Kelowna) – 140 (down by 87)
