Lower Nicola neighbourhood wants action from the province on disputed walking path
Just off Marshall Road in Lower Nicola, there’s a walking path that used to be part of the Nicola, Kamloops & Similkameen Railway. For the past month, a bridge across Guichon Creek along that path has been the focus of a dispute between residents of the area.

Merritt RCMP Files – November 8, 2021
A Merritt man has pleaded guilty to two firearm charges stemming from a January 2021 incident.
Traditional land acknowledgement passes unanimously
Merritt City Council has unanimously passed a recommendation from staff to adopt a traditional land acknowledgement that will be read at the beginning of meetings moving forward. The motion was originally set into motion by Councillor Travis Fehr via a notice of motion in June.
