Centennials, BCHL To Don Retro Jerseys

The Merritt Centennials unveiled their Retro Jersey on Thursday. The third jersey will be donned throughout the BCHL hockey season.

The Merritt Centennials along with other franchises in the BC Hockey League unveiled its retro jersey designs on Thursday in celebration of the league’s 60th Anniversary season.
The designs range from retro-inspired versions of current uniforms to throwbacks to a previous look.
Teams will wear their retro jerseys during their retro theme nights, but will also wear them at other points during the season as an alternate uniform.
The first chance to see retro jerseys in action will be this Saturday, when the Cowichan Valley Capitals unveil their designs during their retro night against the Victoria Grizzlies. There has been no word from the Merritt Centennials organization as to when the club will don their retro jersey.
The Centennials are on the road this weekend in Prince George to face the high-flying Spruce Kings. Game time for both Friday and Saturday night is 7:00 p.m. Q101 will have the action for you with Michael Reeve beginning with the pre-game show each evening at 6:45 p.m.
