B.C. COVID-19 case count hits 832 Thursday; active cases down in Interior Health

VICTORIA — B.C. has recorded 832 new cases of COVID-19, including 153 cases in Interior Health.
In a news release, the provincial health ministry reports active cases up to 5,697 in B.C., but down to 1,181 in IH.
There are now 330 people in hospital with virus, including 148 in intensive care.
Five more people have died of COVID-19 — two in Fraser Health, two in Interior Health and one in Northern Health.
The single-dose vaccination rate is 87.3 per cent for British Columbians aged 12 and older. The two-dose rate is 79.9 per cent.
The province says unvaccinated people represent 75.5 per cent of new cases in the province over the past week, and 82.6 per cent of hospitalizations in the past two weeks.
