Merritt records 11 new cases of COVID-19

The BC Centre of Disease Control has released the latest local health area COVID-19 data covering the week of September 5-11.
The Merritt area saw 11 new cases of the virus, an almost 50% cut from the 21 registered the week prior.
The Kamloops Local Health Area saw an increase in weekly COVID-19 cases. Kamloops saw 270 new cases, an increase of 21.
Areas such as Central Okanagan (Kelowna) saw a decrease from last week, but areas like Salmon Arm and Cariboo/Chilcotin saw notable increases.
