Real estate market in Merritt stays hot in July

Properties in the Merritt area are continuing to fetch a pretty penny according to the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association’s latest data.
The July statistics show 34 units sold in July 2021, the exact same number as 2020, however the average price of those units sold are up 21.7% in 2021. The average price in July was $441,285, which is over $30,000 less than the average price in June 2021.
So far in 2021, the Merritt area has produced the lowest increase to average price in the region at 16.9% ($398,608 in 2021, $340,949 in 2020).
The Kamloops area has seen an increase of 19.1%, while Logan Lake has seen an increase of 57.3%.
