NDP Leader Singh to visit Merritt with local candidate

Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is scheduled to visit Merritt today with local candidate Joan Phillip.

Phillip ran in the last election for the NDP and is set to be acclaimed again in early August. She finished in third behind the Liberals, and Conservative MLA Dan Albas.

Singh is continuing a tour of indigenous communities which will include stops in Kamloops and Penticton later this week.

Singh will meet with local indigenous leaders and Phillip at Spirit Square this evening.
