The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the July Mountain Wildfire remains at 760 hectares, however the Service is reporting that growth has been observed on this fire but due to limited visibility from the smoke in the area, more accurate mapping has been difficult.
Yesterday seven firefighters, one helicopter, and two pieces of heavy equipment were on site.
The heavy winds on Wednesday resulted in the Brenda Creek wildfire expanded from 450 hectares to 662 hectares. On Thursday 42 firefighters were on scene, four of which remained overnight to continue protecting high value assets.
The Spius Creek blaze remains at seven hectares this morning.
