Spius Creek wildfire grows

The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the Spius Creek Wildfire has now grown to seven hectares and remains out of control this morning. The cause of the fire is unknown.
The July Mountain fire remains at 760 hectares. It’s believed that the blaze was started by lightning. Yesterday three firefighters and one helicopter were on site.
Despite forecasted heavy winds, the Brenda Creek Fire held at 450 hectares. Four firefighters remained on site overnight to protect high value features.
No new fires have been reported in the area.
