Merritt Centennials
Q101 is the Home of the Cents!

The Centennials are starting to prepare for next season.

The Merritt Centennials have added 3 players to the roster for the 2017-18 season: Brendan Schneider, Matthew Kopperud, and Jackson Munro.

Schneider is 18 while Kopperud and Munro are 17. Schneider, who is committed to play for Mercyhurst University for the 2019/20 season, is a right shot centreman who spent the last two seasons playing for Albany Academy and the Boston Bulldogs U-18 team. In his last season with Albany he managed to put up 40 (19G, 21A) points in 35 games.

Kopperud is a left shot forward who spent his past couple years with the Pursuit of Excellence program in Kelowna. Last year he managed 55 (25G, 30A) points in 45 games.

Munro is a left shot defenseman who spent his past year with the Jr. B Richmond Sockeyes and compiled 24 (4G,20A) points over the regular season while adding 7 (1G,6A) points in 7 playoff games.

The moves come after the Centennials Spring Camp in Abbotsford.
