A unanimous strike vote by BCGEU members with the Land Title and Survey Authority of BC will be felt in the Nicola Valley if strike action is taken.

Merritt Land Surveyor John Graham says they're the people that handle all the records for poperty transactions including subdivisions and buying and selling properties.

Graham adds it would affect people trying to obtain title searches and submitting subdivision plans.

The negotiations for a renewed collective agreement which began in September, broke off in December.

Over 100 employees at three offices located in New Westminster, Kelowna and Victoria have voted 98-per cent in favour of strike action.
