City councillors are meeting tomorrow for a full day of meetings with many things on the agenda.  Councillor Shelley Sanders says it will be a good opportunity to brainstorming.

Sanders says its important to get out of the office and spend the whole day on these issues.

Tomorrow is opening day for the Nicola Valley Farmers Market.  Lucas Handley, President of the Farmers Market says its important to support vendors within the Nicola Valley.

The Nicola Valley Farmers Market starts at 9 am and goes to 2 pm every Saturday til October.

Its a big weekend for Pancreatic Cancer.  Merritt is hosting a hotdog sale at Coopers on Saturday and a 5 km walk on Sunday.  Its raising funds for the Princess Margaret Hospital.  Organizer Tanya Simpson says Pancreatic Cancer is a silent killer.
