It's a boon for rural communities in B-C suffering from doctor shortages.

Okanagan-Coquihalla M-P and Treasury Board President Stockwell Day has announced a Federal committment of 40-million dollars to help train more doctors for rural communities, with a portion of it earmarked for B-C.

The program is intended to give training to international doctors who committ to at least a four-year practice in rural communities.
